Do attorneys need to report their compliance to the MCLE Board at the end of their two-year reporting period?

No. Beginning with the 2021-2023 reporting period, your online “My MCLE” transcript is your report for your two-year reporting period. Your compliance is determined by your transcript.

An attorney’s completion deadline is June 30 of their reporting period. By that year’s July 31 reporting deadline, your transcript must reflect your compliance by the June 30 credit completion deadline to avoid a $250.00 late fee.

You can check your online transcript here. If you are missing credits on your transcript for an Illinois-accredited CLE course that you attended or taught, here are possible reasons and steps you can take. The MCLE Board’s online system displays all attendance and teaching credits entered by the course providers.
