Must all CLE courses or activities be “live” presentations?

Supreme Court Rule(s) cited in this FAQ: Rule 795.

No. Programs presented via these methods count for Illinois MCLE credit if the Board approves the content. Regardless of delivery method, a course must have “interactivity as a key component.” Rule 795(a)(6).

  • Telephone or videophone conference call
Recorded-technology:
  • Recorded webcast
  • DVD
  • CD
  • Videotape or film
  • Audiotape
  • Digital audio recording (MP3/MP4 or Podcast)
  • Online/on-demand (recorded, available over a computer network)
