How do I add carryover credit from the 2022-2024 reporting period to my transcript for the 2024-2026 reporting period?
This FAQ is for attorneys whose last reporting period was either the 2022-2024 reporting period or their newly-admitted attorney reporting period if they were admitted to the Illinois bar January 1, 2023 or later.
If the 2024-2026 reporting period is your first-two-year reporting period, your last reporting period was your newly-admitted attorney (“NAA”) requirement reporting period, and you were admitted to the Illinois bar December 31, 2022 or earlier, click here to view our FAQ on adding carryover to your transcript for the 2024-2026 reporting period from that reporting period.
If you earned CLE hours in the 2022-2024 reporting period or your NAA reporting period that equaled or exceeded both the general and specific professional responsibility (PR) MCLE requirements for that reporting period, you have carryover credits that were already transferred to your transcript for the 2024-2026 reporting period. You cannot add carryover credits to your transcript yourself.
To view the number of carryover credits added to your 2024-2026 transcript from either the 2022-2024 reporting period or your NAA reporting period, log into your account and go to your My MCLE page. On that page, click to expand the "Credit Calculation Details by Specific Types of Credit" box. If you had carryover credit from the 2022-2024 reporting period, you will see a line that says "Carryover from 2022-2024 Reporting Period" along with the total number of credits carried over. If you had carryover credit from you NAA reporting period, you will see a line that says "Carryover from Newly-Admitted Attorney Reporting Period" along with the total number of credits carried over.
If you do not see the Carryover from 2022-2024 Reporting Period line or the Carryover from Newly-Admitted Attorney Reporting Period line in the Credit Calculation Details by Specific Types of Credit box, you did not earn carryover credits in your last reporting period.
