How does an attorney pay a late fee if their transcript already reflects compliance or reflects an out-of-state exemption report?
If your online transcript reflects you earned the 30 required CLE hours or reflects your report of an out-of-state exemption, but your late fee is outstanding, you can access the payment process using these steps after you log in:
Go to your "
My MCLE
" page.
Under the heading "Compliance Status Summary," locate the box titled "Outstanding Fee Balance". Click "Pay Fee(s)" in that box.
The next page is titled "Select Fees for Payment". Any fees currently owed are listed there. Check the box for your late fee that you will pay now.
Next, select how to submit payment. Click either "Pay selected fees by check" or "Pay selected fees by credit card". Then follow the steps for your preferred method to submit payment.
Payment by credit card occurs upon processing and is typically instantaneous. The PDF transcript showing your payment is immediately available and will automatically open on your screen after your credit card payment has been approved.
If you elect to pay by mailing a check: (1) please print the PDF invoice generated when you choose "Pay selected fees by check" and include that invoice with your check payment; and (2) allow at least 10 business days for U.S. Mail - it may take longer. Payment is not applied to your account until the MCLE Board receives the check. Please consider a credit card payment or overnight delivery if you need the payment to be received and processed sooner.
At any time after payment is processed and applied to your account, you can view and print your transcript showing your payment:
When you are logged in, go to "
My MCLE
".
On the "
My MCLE
" page in the top right corner, you will see "I want to...". Click the arrow after those words and a dropdown menu will appear. Click "View MCLE Compliance History".
On the "MCLE Compliance History" page, find the reporting period for which you want information. For the 2022-2024 reporting period, that reporting period is at the top of the list so click "Report Transcript" at the end of the line for the 2022-2024 information.
You can print your 2022-2024 Report Transcript for your records. Do
NOT
send that page or report to the Board unless we ask for it.
