REPORTING DEADLINE JULY 31, 2009

Attorneys with last names beginning N through Z
Attorneys in the N-Z compliance group needed to complete their MCLE credits or be entitled to claim a valid exemption by June 30, 2009. Those attorneys then need to report to the MCLE Board by July 31, 2009. Details >

To report online, click the button "Attorneys Report Online." The MCLE Board has mailed certification forms as well. Failure to receive a paper certification form is not an excuse for failing to report on time.

Attorneys who have not completed the required credits by June 30, 2009 are automatically given a "grace period" until September 30, 2009. However, one of two late fees apply:

  1. $100 if the attorney reports non-compliance by July 31, 2009; or
  2. $150 if the attorney fails to report compliance or a valid exemption by July 31, 2009.

Attorneys availing themselves of the September 30, 2009 grace period can report and pay the appropriate late fee online after August 20, 2009. To report, click the "Attorneys Report Online" button and complete the steps by September 30, 2009.

This requirement does not apply to newly admitted attorneys who were sworn in to the Illinois bar on or after July 1, 2006.
