Information About Illinois Minimum Continuing Legal Education Now Available on the Internet

The Illinois Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board announced today the
establishment of an MCLE information link to the official website of the Illinois Courts. The
link provides information concerning the Illinois MCLE program and MCLE Board. The MCLE
information link is accessible through the Supreme Court of Illinois link to the Illinois Courts
official website at http://www.state.il.us/court/ and directly at
http://www.state.il.us/court/MCLE/
Visitors to the new MCLE information link can learn about the establishment of the
MCLE program under Illinois Supreme Court Rules 791-797 (MCLE Rules), as well as view the
MCLE Rules. Visitors can also learn about the nine MCLE Board members and view MCLE
news releases and documents.
The new MCLE information link features a "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) section
that identifies some of the questions frequently being asked about MCLE and provides
straightforward answers to those questions. At the "Home" page of the MCLE information link,
visitors may submit questions, suggestions or comments to the MCLE Board. The MCLE Board
will update the FAQ 11??as implementation of the MCLE program moves forward.
The new MCLE information link also includes a hiring announcement and job description
for the position of the Director of the Illinois MCLE program. The MCLE Board encourages
qualified persons to apply in accordance with the information posted under "MCLE Director Job
Description."
The MCLE Board plans to establish an official website for the MCLE program in the near
future. However, until the official MCLE program website is established, MCLE information
will continue to be available at the new MCLE information link to the Illinois Courts website.
